Hyperactive immune response to certain environmental  or food allergens that can trigger mild to severe life threatening emergency that cause shock and death, symptoms vary from   shortness of breath, wheezing, facial swelling, throat swelling to drop in blood pressure, elevated heart rate, dizziness and loss of consciousness.  Treatment is seek emergency help, call 911,  immediate hospitalization, EPi-pen use if available.
